-(x - 10)
= -x + 10
X doesn't equal to anything. You can't solve for x in this kind of stuff, This is simplify.

First, distribute the negative sign.
-x + 10 = 7
Next, subtract 10 from both sides.
-x = -3
Last, divide each side by -1 to isolate the x.
x = 3
