The answer is 9. Let me demonstrate She had 25 roses and we didn't know how much tulips she has. She lost 4 flowers which means 25 - 4 = 21. She has 21 flowers now but we still dont know how much tulips she has yet . When she got home she counted ALL her flowers and the result was 30. If she had 21 roses and the final result of flowers she had was 30 we could minus 30 by 21 the answer will be 9 or we could add 21 with a number that will give us the total of 30 the number would be 9. I hope that helped ◕‿◕

so if im at home and i count 30 flowers, and i know that i lost 4 on my way, and i know that 25 of those 30 flowers where roses well... 30+4 (the total amount of flowers) =34 - 25= the amount of flowers that where tulips. so you bought 9 tulips.
