y^2=8^2+12^2
\begin{gathered} y=\sqrt[]{8^2+12^2} \\ y=\sqrt[]{64+144} \\ y=\sqrt[]{208} \\ y=4\sqrt[]{13} \end{gathered}

Now with the leg of the red triangle, we can find x
