If you would like to solve the equation x/3 = x/2 - 2 for x, you can do this using the following steps:
x/3 = x/2 - 2 /*6
2x = 3x - 2 * 6
2x = 3x - 12
2x - 3x = -12
-x = -12
x = 12
The correct result would be x = 12.
