lets assume ; Triangle A : height = 4 , base = 2

Triangle B : height = 6 , base = 4

Explanation:

Given data :

Triangle A : height = 4 , base = 2

Triangle B : height = 6 , base = 4

Area of triangle = 1/2 bh

Area of triangle of A = 1/2 * 2 * 4 = 8/2 = 4 cm^2

Area of triangle of B = 1/2 * 6 * 4 = 24/2 = 12 cm^2

Hence the area of triangle B is greater than triangle A by

= 12 - 4 = 8cm^2 ( apply the same principle to the complete question and you will get your answer )
