A = a^2.....the area of a square is equal to one side squared.

A = 125

125 = a^2....now take the sqrt of both sides, this eliminates the ^2
sqrt 125 = a
11.18 rounds to 11 miles....so each side is 11 miles

25 miles and 5 miles because you only multiply two sides to find the area 25•5=125
