a discounted concert ticket costs 14.50 less than the original price p. you pay $53 for a discounted ticket. write and solve an equation to find the original price

53+14.50=p
$67.50
So if the if you bought a discounted ticket and it was $14.50 less than you would pay for an original ticket you could simply add the $14.50 to the amount you paid with the discount, $53, and it'll come out to $67.50.
