The best way to correct a poor decision is to stop for a moment, then to think about what went wrong before finally being able to go ahead and correct it. If One recognizes that a poor decision has been made then it is best to pause in order to collect One's thoughts about the choice and also to mitigate any negative emotions One may have surrounding the poor choice. After making a pause, One will be better able to focus on the damage control that may be necessary as a result of the poor choice.
