2x=-y+6
-4x+3y=8
Rewriting the equations;
y+2x=6
3y-4x=8
Multiplying equation I by 3;
3y+6x=18
3y-4x=8
Subtracting equation II from equation I;
10x=10
x=1
Replacing for x in the first equation;
2x=-y+6
2(1)=-y+6
2=-y+6
2-6=-y
-4=-y
y=4
