Hi there

2x - 6 = 3x + 1 - x - 7
First we need to combine like terms
2x - 6 = (3x - x) + (1 - 7)
2x - 6 = 2x - 6
2x - 2x = -6 + 6
0 = 0
Answer : All real numbers are solutions.

2x-6=3x=3x+1-x-7
2x-6=(3-1)x+7
2x-6=2x+8
2x-6-2x+6=2x-2x+8+6
0=0+14
