So, We Have This Complex Figure, And We Need To Find The Area Of It. There Are Three Formulas We Need To Know:
Area Of A Complex Figure =
A = Area1 + Area2 + Area 3.
Area Of A Rectangle=
A = B * H
Area Of A Triangle =
A = 1/2 * B * H
Lets Solve.
Rectangle Area:
A = 29 * 12.
We Know That
29 * 12 = 348.
Next, Triangles:
A = 1/2 * 7 * 29
And
A = 1/2 * 12 * 5
So:
1/2 * 7 = 3.5
3.5 * 29 =
101.5
And
1/2 * 12 = 6
6 * 5 = 30.
Now, Add All Of The Areas Together.
30 + 101.5 + 348 = A
30 + 101.5 = 131.5
A = 131.5 + 348.
348 + 131.5 = 479.5
A = 479.5in²
