The total momentum of the two players is:

p = p1 - p2

p1 = m1*v1 momentum of the first player

p2 = m2*v2 momentum of the second player

p2 is negative because second player moves in an opposite direction related to the first player.

m1 = 45 kg

m2 = 32 kg

v1 = 1.4m/s

v2 = 2.1m/s

Replace the previous values of the paramters into the expression for p, as foolow:

p = (45kg)(1.4m/s) - (32kg)(2.1m/s)

p = -4.2kg*m/s

The minus sign of the previous result means that the direction of the total momentum is to the left. Moreover, the magnitude of the total momentum is 4.2 kg m/s
