(3,6)(5,18)
slope = (18 - 6) / (5 - 3) = 12/2 = 6
y = mx + b
slope(m) = 6
(3,6)....x = 3 and y = 6
now we sub and find b, the y int
6 = 6(3) + b
6 = 18 + b
6 - 18 = b
-12 = b
equation is : y = 6x - 12
function notation is : f(x) = 6x - 12
