To change a fraction to a decimal, simply divide the numerator by the denominator. The numerator is the top part of the fraction, while the denominator is the bottom part of the fraction.
2 รท 5 = 0.4

Think of 5 as being 1.00 and you need to split it into five equal pieces. Each "piece" will be worth 0.20 because 0.2+0.2+0.2+0.2+0.2 = 1 so,
2/5 = 0.4
