Time taken by the faster runner to get to the finishing line = distance/speed = 8/14 = 0.5714 = 34 minutes

Distance covered by the slower runner for 34 minutes = speed x time = 11.1 x 0.5714 = 6.34

Distance of the slower runner from the finish line when the faster runner finishes the race = 8.00 - 6.34 = 1.66 km
