Let the number of red beads be x, then the number of yellow beads is 50 - x.
Then, 6/9 = x/(50 - x)
9x = 6(50 - x) = 300 - 6x
15x = 300
x = 300/15 = 20

Therefore, we expect 20 red beads in the bag.
