Hi
9(2p + 1) -3p = 4p - 6
Use the distributive property
(9)(2p + (9)(1) - 3p = 4p -6
Now calculate them
18p + 9 - 3p = 4p -6
Combine like terms
18p -3p +(9) = 4p -6
15p + 9 = 4p -6
15p - 4p = -6 -9
11p = -15
p = -15/11

Opening brackets;
18p+9-3p=4p-6
18p-3p+9=4p-6
15p+9=4p-6
Putting like terms together;
15p-4p=-6-9
11p=-15
