x=−7 and x=−2

Step-by-step explanation:

to solve the quadratic you first have to put it into ax2+bx+c form
−9x=x2+14
to do that you have to add 9x on both sides
x2+9x+14
then you have to factor the quadratic
(x+7)(x+2)
then to find out the x values you have to set both of the factors to 0 and solve for x
x+7=0
x+2=0
subtract to get x by itself for both functions
x=−7 and x=−2
