l4x-8l - 3x = 6x+2
4x - 8 - 3x = 6x + 2
x - 8 = 6x + 2
-8 - 2 = 6x - x
-10 = 5x
-10/5 = x
-2 = x
x = -2

As, mod is positive as well as negative .
So we have two cases here,
|4x – 8| = 9x + 2
First case: (positive value).
4x – 8 = 9x + 2
Re arranging the equation:
9x-4x = -8-2
5x = -10
x = –2
Second case: (negative value).
–(4x – 8) = 9x + 2
–4x + 8 = 9x + 2
Re arranging the equation.
6 = 13x
x = 6/13
