Angles A and B are supplementary. Angle A is equal to 20 degrees plus x, while Angle B is equal to 10 degrees plus 2 x. What is x?

50 degrees

Explanation:

Given

<A = 20 + x

<B = 10+2x

Since <A and <B are supplementary then the sum of their angles is 180 degrees

<A + <B = 180

20+x + 10+2x = 180

30+3x = 180

3x = 180-30

3x = 150

x = 150/3

x = 50 degrees

Hence the value of x is 50 degrees
