Tea has been part of the Indian culture and society from a long time. The morning newspaper is accompanied with a cup of tea, and evening are incomplete without a refreshing cup of tea. Tea in India is generally grown in the North Eastern regions and the Nilgiri Hills. The history of tea drinking in India since 750 BC. If we look on to current situation India has become the largest consumer of the tea in the world and also the second largest producer of the tea.

It caused the British to become more heavily involved in the country because its ability to produce tea as well as sugar and indigo made it a huge monetary asset.
