The correct answer is option B.) "It is based on phylogeny". Cladistics is based on phylogeny, as is one of the most widely used method of generating phylogenetic trees. In cladistics species are organized according on its most recent common ancestor in groups, also known as clades. Originally the groups were formed on physical characteristics shared by the species, but nowadays genetic discoveries had been reorganized the clades based on genome similarity.
