Why were merchants able to achieve social mobility

Answer: They were able to move to social mobility due to the social system that allows them to move up and down the social hierarchy. Merchants had a better chance of doing so by investing their money on land and taking advantage of other advantages.

I hope it helps, Regards.

by having enough profit, Merchant could buy more lands and hire for soldiers for them.
This will make them had a similar power to those of the nobilities, making them go up in the social class

hope this helps
