A country's population in 1995 was 65 million. In 1998 it was 69 million. Estimate the population in 2006 using the exponential growth formula. Round your answer to the nearest million.

80 million. 2001= 73 million. 2004=77 billion. 2007=81 million. Take away a year, maybe take away one million.

Hello,

year x y
1995 0 65
1998 3 69
2006 11 ?

y=b*e^(ax)

if x=0 then y=65 ==>65=b*e^0==>b=65

if x=3 then y=69 ==>69=65*e^(3a)
==>e^(3a)=69/65
==>3a=ln(69/65)
==>a= ln (69/65) /3
==>a=0,019906411...

if x=11 then y=65*e^(0.019906411...*11)
==>y=80,911648...≈81 (millions)
