Your friend states in a report that the average time required to circle a 1.0-mi track was 49.325 s. This was measured by timing 10 laps using a stopwatch with a precision of 0.01 s. Do you believe his results are reliable? Explain.

I'm very skeptical about the accuracy and reliability of his results.
I need to know more about the situation.

First of all, I need to know HOW the track was circled.
Was it by foot ? By car ? By horse ? By a dog ?

-- The current men's world record in the Mile Run
is 3 minutes 43 seconds.

-- My friend reported research showing that it really
only requires about 22% of that much time.

-- His data and his methods need some peer review.
