The graphs of functions f(x) and g(x) = f(x) + k are shown below. Graph of line f of x going through ordered pairs 0, 1 and 2, 6. Graph of line g of x going through ordered pairs 0, negative 1 and 2, 4. The value of k is ___.

The problem is asking to find the value of K according to the graph that has been given and also base on the the function. In my further calculation,  I came up with a solution that leads to the answer that the value of K is -2. I hope you are satisfied with my answer and feel free to ask for more

The cut point with the y axis for both graphs occurs when x = 0
We have then:
For f (x):
The cut point with the y axis is:

f (0) = 1
For g (x):
The cut point with the y axis is:

g (0) = -1
Therefore, the value of k is given by the vertical displacement of the graph k units.
We have then:

g (0) = f (0) + k
From here, let's clear k:

k = g (0) - f (0) k = - 1- 1 k = -2
Answer:
The value of k is -2
