A local produce shop has a fixed monthly operating cost of $500. The veggies they sell cost the company an average of $2.50 per pound to grow, harvest, and bring to the shop. How many pounds of veggies must the shop sell if it sells veggies at an average of $4.50 per pound

500 + 2.50x = 4.50x
500 = 4.50x - 2.50x
500 = 2x
500/2 = x
250 = x

They would have to sell 250 lbs of veggies to break even. If u sold any more then 250 lbs, u would be making a profit
