In addition, you get 5 0 5050 points for each seven-letter word you are able to make with the ten letters you are given. The game leader currently has 1 7 9 5 0 17,95017, comma, 950 points. Sal wants to break the record, and needs 1 8 0 0 0 18,00018, comma, 000 points or more to do so

Answer: 1.
100+50w\geq18,000

2. Sal will need to make 358 seven letters words to break the record.

Explanation:

Given: Points we get for playing the game = 100

Points foe each 7 letter word we make = 50

Points required to break the record=18,000

Let w be the number of 7 letters words Sal made in the game.

Then it gives the inequality
100+50w\geq18,000

\Rightarrow50w=18,000-100\\\Rightarrow50w=17900\\\Rightarrow\ w=(17900)/(50)\\\Rightarrow\ w=358

Hence, Sal will need to make 358 seven letters words to break the record.
