A ski shops rents skis and snowboards. When they first opened, they rented 11 pairs of skis to 3 snowboards. After snowboarding became an olympic sport, they noticed they were renting 5 pairs of skis to every 9 snowboards. If they rented 45 snowboards originally, how much pairs do they rent after the olympic?

Answer:

25

Explanation:

Given that they rented 11 pairs of skis to 3 snowboards originally

And rented 5 pairs of skis to 9 snowboards after the Olympic

Then if they rented to 45 snowboards originally, then they must have rented 45/3×11 skis = 165 pairs of skis

After the Olympic, they must have rented 45/9×5 skis= 25 pairs of skis
