$(3x-2)/(21)=(50)/(21+21)\\\\(3x-2)/(21)=(50)/(42)\ \ \ \ |cross\ multiply\\\\42(3x-2)=21\cdot50\\\\126x-84=1050\ \ \ |add\ 84\ to\ both\ sides\\\\126x = 1134\ \ \ \ |divide\ both\ sides\ by\ 126\\\\\boxed{x=9.0}$
