By the factor theorem, if x + 3 is a factor of f(x) = -3x^3 + 6x^2 + 6x + 9, then f(-3) = 0
f(-3) = -3(-3)^3 + 6(-3)^2 + 6(-3) + 9 = -3(-27) + 6(9) - 18 + 9 = 81 + 54 - 9 = 126.

Therefore, x + 3 is not a factor of the given function
