The myth that is the best example of mythology used to transmit such values is that of Arachne. Arachne was a mortal weaver who thought she was better than gods, and was thus punished for it. The myth serves to show us that we should respect our authorities and not go too far beyond our limits, because there is always someone more powerful than us who could easily destroy us. Ethics here is there to show us that everybody should be respected and not mocked, and that you should show humility before those more powerful than you.
