Macromolecules are termed as large molecules, for example, proteins.

It is created by polymerization of monomers. Macromolecules are being composed of many atoms. The commonly used molecules in the biochemistry are lipids, carbohydrates, nucleic acid and proteins.

There are some macromolecules which are synthetic, for example, synthetic fibers and plastics, and experimental materials which include carbon nanotubes.
