Solution

For this case we need to have the same slope and we can find it from the original equation and we got:

4y = 8+2x

y = 2 +1/2x

So then the slope is :

m=(1)/(2)

We need to have the same slope and we can do the following:

-1=(1)/(2)(-5)+b

And solving for b we got:

b=-1+(5)/(2)=(3)/(2)

And then the equation would be given by:

y=(1)/(2)x+(3)/(2)
