For this case we have the following number:

√(100)
By power properties we can rewrite the number.
We have then:

√(100) = √(10*10)

√(100) = √(10^2)

√(100) = 10
We observe that the result can be written as the quotient between two whole numbers.
For example:

(200)/(20) = 10
This means that the number is rational.
Answer:
square root of 100 is rational.

Square root of 100 is a rational number. Because sqaure rooot 100 = 10. And, 10 can be written in the form rational number. Any number that can be written in the form of p/q where p and q are integers and q in not zero is called a rational number.
