Lets define the vertical angles theorem :

states that in a pair of intersecting lines , the vertical angels are congruet , meaning they are identical .

• so angle A = angle B

8x +14 = 2x +50 ....(solve for x by collecting like terms )

8x -2x = 50 -14

6x = 36

x = 6

by substituting x = 6 into angle B's equation, we get that

Angle B = 2(6)+50

=12 +50

Therefore Angle B = 62

similarly, Angle A = 8(6) +14 = 62
