If you rolled a dice 96 times, how many times would you expect to roll a 3 or a 6?

The probability of each one is 1/6, so the probability of (one OR the other) is 1/3. Out of 96 rolls, you would expect to succeed nominally 24 times.

The theoretical probability of rolling a 3 is 1/6 and the theoretical probability of rolling a 6 is also 1/6. Therefore the probability of rolling a 3 or a 6 is:

P(3\cup6)=(1)/(6)+(1)/(6)=(1)/(3)
