I received three images with aligned points. What is the question?

The question is on the last image.

They are asking which of the plots represents the line given by the equation:

y = x - 1

So we need to examine the actual points on each plot, and decide if the values of the coordinates satisfy the equation above:

The first graph (graph A) contains the following points:

(2, 1) , (5, 4) and (8. 7)

Notice that these three values do satisfy the equation y = x - 1

since when x = 2 then y = 2 - 1 = 1

also when x = 5, y becomes y = 5 - 1 = 4

and when x = 8 then y becomes y = 8 - 1 = 7

So graph A is the graph we are looking for.

We can check a cople of points for the other graphs to decide if we discard them:

Graph B has the points: (0, 2) (4 , 3) and (8, 4)

we can see that just the first point doesn't satisfy our equation, since when x = 0

the y should be y = 0 - 1 = -1 and in the case of graph B y is 2. Then this graph is discarded.

Now the graph C, which has the points: (2, 6), (6, 8) and (10, 10)

just the very first one does NOT satisfy the equation since, when x = 2, they y should be

y = 2 - 1 = 1, and in graph C it appears as y = 6

Then this graph is NOT representative of the equation we were given.

Then Graph A is the graph we are looking for.
