How do you shade a hundredths grid to find the product

Hello. I will give you an example on how to shade a hundredths grid. For example, 5.3. You would shade 5 whole hundredths grids and shade 30 squares on another hundredths grid since 3=30. .3 means 3 tenths which equals point 30. So you would end up with 5 and 30/100 hundredth grids shaded. Your welcome!
