Rectangles have equal opposite sides. 2 sides are the longer sides called lengths and the other 2 sides are the widths.

the length of the width is 5

perimeter is the sum of all the sides of the rectangle

perimeter is calculated as follows

perimeter = (length x 2) + (width x 2)

perimeter = 125 cm

width = 5

length = x

substituting the values in the perimeter formula

(x * 2) + (5*2) = 125

2x + 10 = 125

2x = 125 - 10

2x = 115

x = 115/2

x = 57.5 cm

length of longer side = 57.5 cm

answer is 2x + 10 = 125; x = 57.5 cm
