The answer is D because to use Pythagorean Theorem it has to be a right triangle.

Answer:

D

Explanation:

Hello

Pythagoras' theorem states that in every right triangle, the square of the length of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the respective lengths of the sides

if c is the hypotenuse

c^(2) =a^(2) +b^(2)

isolating a side (a)

c^(2) =a^(2) +b^(2)\\c^(2)-b^(2) =a^(2) \\a=\sqrt{c^(2)-b^(2)}

if sandra knew the length of the hypotenuse and the length of a side could use this equation to find the other side.

the only right triangle ( an angle is 90°) in the options is the D.

Have a great day.
