Why do you think that Sandy's parents sent her to live with her Grandma? What in the makes you say that?

Sandy's parents send her to Florida to keep her from marrying Soda. Sodapop Curtis is Pony's older brother. Pony loves him to death because he is such a kind older brother, but he is also handsome like a "Greek god come to earth" (Ch. ... Unlike their other older brother Darry, Soda doesn't yell at Pony.

i think sandy’s parents made her live with her grandma because she wanted her to be more focused on school and everything because it was the 70s/80s, and everyone was really focused one education. that’s just what i think. hope this helps!
