g⁻² = 1/g² = 1 / (g * g)

Since g is multiplying g, hence the answer can not be negative. It can only be positive.

Because a negative * negative = positive and

positive * positive = positive.

The possible answer is option C or D.

if g = 3,

g⁻² = 1/g² = 1 / (g * g)

3⁻² = 1/3² = 1 / (3 * 3) = 1/9

if g = 9

9⁻² = 1/9² = 1 / (9 * 9) = 1/81

Possible answer is C or D.
