Ans. (D). They both use DNA as their genetic material.

Bacteria are simpler, unicellular, prokaryotic organisms that lack membrane-bound organelles. Birds are multicellular, eukaryotic organisms that have membrane-bound organelles.

Bacterial cells have cell walls, while cell wall is absent in cells of birds. Bacteria produce genetically identical daughter cells through asexual reproduction, while in birds, sexual reproduction takes place that leads to variations in the their offspring.

The one way, by which both bacteria and bird show similarity is nature of their genetic material as both bacteria and birds have double stranded DNA molecules as their genetic material.

Thus, the correct answer is option (D).
