if there is a substance's effect like it impedes the binding of NAD+ to electrons, you would be more likely to lose weight

If NADH couldn't be formed, the cells will lose out on ATP produced. When the body not receiving enough ATP, it will breaks down fat as a form of storage energy which will lead to weight loss
