If AB=5x and CD = 2x +12, then find x and find BC.

From what we have, the measures EF = FG = GH

That means;

AB = CD

Thus;

5x = 2x + 12

5x - 2x = 12

3x = 12

x = 12/3

x = 4

BC = AB = CD = 5(4) = 2(4) + 12 = 20
