3 hrs and 2 min = 3(60) + 2 = 180 + 2 = 182 minutes
182/26 = x/1
cross multiply
26x = 182
x = 182/26
x = 7...it took 7 minutes to run each mile

Keith ran a marathon in 3 hours and 2 minutes and ran approximately 26 miles in the race. If he ran at the same rate for the entire race, it took him approximately 7 minutes to run each mile.
