Expressed Powers are the powers that are expressed by the Constitution to the federal government. The US Constitution lists them in the Article I, Section 8. The express powers include the power to tax, to coin money, to regulate foreign and domestic commerce, to maintain armed forces, to grant patents, to conduct foreign affairs, to make treaties and others.
