What is the value of x in the equation 7x + 2y = 48 , when y = 3?

Hi !

7x+2y = 48
You know the value for y so you just need to plug it in.

7x+2*3 = 48
7x = 48-6 = 42

x = 6

7x+2(3)=48
7x+6=48
7x=42
