The first American colony in Texas was lead by Stephen F. Austin. He was born on 3rd of November in the year 1793 and died on 27th of December in the year 1836. He is also known as the "Father of Texas". In the year 1825, he brought 300 families and started the colony of Texas. I hope it helps you.
